Hello World
Hi, my name is Shaun Shull and I am a 25 year old guy residing in Bowling Green, Kentucky. For a living I run an internet community development company called PixelSnap. For fun I enjoy taking on creative challenges such as design, music, and writing ... basically anything that requires a great deal of imagination. Like everyone else I enjoy computers, basketball, reading, and hanging out with my family and friends.
Professional Biography
Ever since I was 13 years old I have been fascinated with computers, especially regarding the internet. At 14 I learned my first programming language (Perl) and co-built my first web app, a dating site for teenagers (which I closed down 2 years later after realizing the flaw in my then “brilliant” business). It was during this time that I discovered becoming an internet entrepeneur was what I wanted to do in life.
After high school graduation in 2000 I set off to Silicon Valley to pursue my passion. I spent the next 3 years learning the ropes of the industry and gaining valuable experience working on technical projects for large companies such as Nike, Palm, Oracle, 3Com, Visa, etc.
In late 2003 I joined a small 5 man company called USWeb in Orange County as their Director of Technology. Over the next 3 years we grew USWeb from a small search engine optimisation firm to a first-tier online marketing firm with an impressive client list that included companies such as Cnet, Dow Jones, ABN AMRO and more.
In late 2006 I moved back to Kentucky and launched a small start-up called PixelSnap. I continue to operate PixelSnap to this day helping to develop tools, resources, and communities on the net with properties like ePlace.com or my latest e-commerce candy store project eSnacks.com.
